The main one- surprisingly had to be Europe. Really great performance.

For me not really a convert, more of a re-awakeneing, ENTOMBED were just superb, i hadn't seen them since they supported Type O negative on the October rust tour, am a very liberal listener of them , but after that performance i bought 2 cds' and am well and truly a fan again

We talked about this before they played, and I agree with you - a great performance.

Kreator were probably the band that I was expecting to be bit 'meh', like Sodom were on Friday, but they were awesome.

I'm liking the love for Europe - due to the reaction to the band, I think Bloodstock has been vindicated for their booking.

Its so hard to choose this year! Its between Saxon, Blind Guardian, Kreator, Anathema, Turisas and Europe. Maybe Carcass, Arch Enemy, and Sabaton as well...gah too many good bands!

One of the best overall linups i have ever seen at a metal festival tbh, and europe have probably sold afew best of albums on the back of this too

Hopefully will sell a hell of alot of the new 1 aswell

Re: THIRD HEADLINE ACT ANNOUNCED EUROPE EXCLUSIVE UK PERFORMANCE

I never thought i'd say a classic rock band was better than whitesnake, but europe were better than everyone... Wow. Thats what a live band should sound like. Apart from the few people who are best not spoken of it was amazing. It was great to see so many people go there only knowing final countdown and watching them slowly start loving europe, and singing every chorus from after hearing it once.

We just got of stage!!!

We didn't know what to expect....It went fucking great! Someone said it was the biggest cheer of the festival after our set!!

Loads of magazines were here tonight.....Classic Rock Magazine, Metal Hammer amongst others....There seem to be a great vibe around our new c.d. Last look at eden in the UK.....

Like we've always said.

"one of these days this band is going to amount to something" ; )

// GOTHENBURG //

The good people of Gothenburg came out in force on the 14th of august 2009...........75-100.000 people graced the "Avenyn". leading up to the main-stage were we were playing.

Incredible. some say there has never been this many people out for a music event like this in this town.

Great Show!
